OnePlus has officially unveiled the OnePlus Turbo 6X and OnePlus Turbo 6X Pro in China, introducing two smartphones designed around a simple idea that many brands have recently overlooked: battery life still matters.

While much of the smartphone market in 2026 has been dominated by discussions around AI features and camera upgrades, OnePlus is taking a more practical route. The Turbo series focuses on larger batteries, smoother displays, durable designs, and performance-oriented hardware aimed at users who spend hours gaming, streaming, multitasking, or working from their phones.

The headline attraction is undoubtedly the Turbo 6X Pro’s enormous 8,000mAh battery, one of the largest capacities currently available in a mainstream smartphone.

OnePlus Is Prioritising Endurance Over Thin Designs

The Turbo lineup is clearly positioned as a battery-first series rather than a camera-centric flagship replacement, but OnePlus has still delivered meaningful improvements.

The standard Turbo 6X features a 50MP primary camera alongside a secondary sensor and an 8MP selfie camera.

Meanwhile, the Turbo 6X Pro upgrades to a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 16MP front-facing camera.
