Boat Storm Call 4 and Ultima Vogue 2 Launch in India With Direct Type-C Charging
Quick Highlights

Boat has launched two new budget smartwatches in India — the Storm Call 4 and Ultima Vogue 2 — and both devices focus on solving one of the most annoying problems with affordable wearables: proprietary charging cables.
The company says these are India’s first smartwatches with direct USB Type-C charging support, allowing users to plug the watches directly into the same cable used for smartphones, tablets, laptops, and power banks instead of relying on separate magnetic charging docks.
That may sound like a small feature on paper, but it could end up becoming one of the most practical additions in the budget smartwatch segment.
Boat Focuses on Convenience Instead of Just Bigger Specs

Most budget smartwatch brands have spent the last few years competing around display size, brightness, and battery life. Boat’s latest launches take a different approach by focusing on convenience and everyday usability.
The move toward Type-C charging also reflects a wider industry transition already happening across smartphones, laptops, earbuds, and other consumer electronics.
Users who regularly lose smartwatch charging pucks or travel frequently may find the change surprisingly useful since both watches can now be charged using cables that are already sitting on desks or inside backpacks.

TechularZtrix Take
The biggest upgrade in the Storm Call 4 and Ultima Vogue 2 isn’t the display or the battery life — it’s the charging system. Direct Type-C charging removes one of the most frustrating parts of owning affordable smartwatches, especially when proprietary chargers go missing. In a market flooded with nearly identical wearable hardware, that small convenience could actually become Boat’s smartest feature addition yet.
